Role Description
An Account Manager at Meeranda is a highly motivated self-starter responsible for hunting, developing, and closing net-new business and expanding our service offering with existing customers. You will be the voice of the customer and you will relay customers’ feedback directly to our internal teams, so as to continue to deliver the new personalized customer experience. We have aggressive sales targets. However, in return, we offer a base salary along with a very generous commission scheme (20% on total sales – no cap). We are looking for superstars.
Responsibilities
- Identify and pursue new sales opportunities by prospecting, qualifying, and closing business deals
- Own renewal process for existent accounts (Negotiate Contract Renewals)
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key decision makers and stakeholders in your market
- Actively engage with clients to understand their needs and priorities
- Meet and exceed sales targets and key performance indicators (KPIs)
- Prepare and deliver compelling presentations, demonstrations, and proposals tailored to customer needs and requirements
- Keep abreast of industry trends, competitive offerings, and market developments
- Provide timely and accurate sales forecasts and reports to management
- Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and trade shows, as required
- Act as a liaison between clients and Meeranda Team
- Partner with the Customer Experience Manager to ensure overall customer satisfaction
- Proactively identify account risks and drive mitigation strategies
Education/Experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or relevant experience
- Ability to sell to VP and C-Level contacts
- 5+ years of relevant experience preferred
- Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets in a technology or software environment. Prior experience in AI sales is highly desirable
- 5+ years of demonstrated success direct sales experience in B2B sales
- 5+ years of experience in relationship management
- Ability to leverage Salesforce.com or similar CRMs
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills (in person and virtual)
- Fully Bilingual (English and French are a must)
Key Skills and Competencies
- Existing relationships with C-Level executives across SMBs and MNCs to expedite closing of deals
- Solid understanding of the AI industry, including current market trends and emerging technologies
- Self-motivated, results-oriented, and ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a team
- Proficient with CRM software and other sales productivity tools
- Availability for frequent travel to meet with clients and attend industry events, as necessary
- Continuous learner, technical curiosity, and an interest in the AI industry
- Experienced in selling across the Canadian and the U.S. markets
